Morgan Wallen Returns to the Top of Hot 100 as Rosé and Bruno Mars’ ‘APT.’ Debuts at No. 8

Morgan Wallen‘s latest offering, a track dubbed “Love Somebody,” is the No. 1 song in the United States this week. The lone single, released Oct. 18, follows the success of his and Post Malone’s “I Had Some Help,” which opened at No. 1 in May, and led Billboard’s Hot 100 songs chart for six weeks.

“Love Somebody” opens with 31 million streams and 15 million radio airplay audience impressions, per data provided by Luminate. The only other new release to crack the top of the chart this week is Blackpink’s Rosé and Bruno Mars‘ “APT.” upping the latter’s real estate on the Hot 100 to include two songs in the Top 10 following his and Lady Gaga’s “Die With a Smile” (No. 4 on the latest chart).

Mars and Rosé’s duet debuts with 25 million streams and 3.2 million in airplay audience impressions. and 14,000 sold in the U.S. With this feat, Rosé becomes the the first woman in K-pop to crack the Hot 100’s Top 10. “APT.” is the first taste of Rosé’s upcoming solo studio album, titled “rosie.”

Meanwhile, Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” moves to No. 2 with a steady showing on radio, counting 72.2 million impressions in the latest tracking week.

On the Billboard 200 albums chart, Yeat earns his first No. 1 album, “Lyfestyle,” logging 89,000 equivalent album units earned and 60,000 album sales. “Lyfestyle” is the American rapper and songwriter’s best opening-week in sales, exceeding the cumulative sales of his entire album catalog so far, as reported by Billboard.

Seventeen also enters the list with “Spill the Feels,” which debuts at No. 5 with 66,000 equivalent album units earned. Album sales comprise 64,000 of those units, a total bolstered by its availability across 17 CD variants, each containing collectible memorabilia.

Elsewhere, Sabrina Carpenter’s “Short n’ Sweet” moves up two slots to No. 2 with 79,000 equivalent album units earned. Former leader, Jelly Roll’s “Beautifully Broken,” slips to No. 3 after its No. 1 debut last week.
