‘1923’ Season 2 Trailer Shows Harrison Ford, Helen Mirren in Ranch War
“This ranch will drive you to your death!” Helen Mirren warns Harrison Ford in the first full teaser trailer for 1923 season two.
Paramount+ revealed the Yellowstone prequel trailer (below) Sunday night, just as Yellowstone‘s fifth and presumably final season wrapped up with its anticipated finale.
In the new season of 1923, “a cruel winter brings new challenges and unfinished business to Jacob (Ford) and Cara (Mirren) back at Dutton ranch. With harsh conditions and adversaries threatening to end the Dutton legacy, Spencer (Brandon Sklenar) embarks on an arduous journey home, racing against time to save his family in Montana. Meanwhile, Alexandra (Julia Schlaepfer) sets off on her own harrowing trans-Atlantic journey to find Spencer and reclaim their love.”
Here is the trailer, with Jacob proclaiming, “This ranch is under attack. Our whole way of life is under attack.”
The series also stars Timothy Dalton as an evil land baron and Jerome Flynn as his henchman, along with Darren Mann, Brian Geraghty, Aminah Nieves, Michelle Randolph, Sebastian Roché. Dexter alum Jennifer Carpenter joins the cast for season two in a recurring role.
The series is created by Yellowstone co-creator Taylor Sheridan and produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios and Bosque Ranch Productions.
The second (and presumed final) season of 1923 will continue to follow the next generation of Duttons after the events of Yellowstone‘s first prequel series 1883. Ford and Mirren‘s Jacob and Cara Dutton are the aunt and uncle to Elsa Dutton (Isabel May), the star of 1883 who narrates 1923. Elsa’s brother, Spencer Dutton (Sklenar), emerged as the Dutton’s last hope at the end of 1923 season one. In season two, after being separated from wife Alex (Schlaepfer) in the finale, he must continue his transcontinental journey back to Bozeman, Montana, to both save the Dutton ranch and his family from external threats.
Season two of 1923 releases on Paramount+ Sunday, Feb. 23.
