On this week’s episode of “The Daily Show,” Jon Stewart went after President Donald Trump for flirting with the possibility of running for a third term.

Stewart opened the segment by saying he wanted to “check in on our good friend Democracy,” which itself has become a political buzz word as Trump looks to increase his executive power with each passing day.

A news clip then played, which reported that Trump is “considering his options to serve a third term in office, a breach of the constitution’s two-term limit for president.”

“I’m sorry, considering the option?” Stewart exclaimed. “What, are you trying to order off-menu from the constitution? ‘I see you have two terms, but can I get it animal style?’”

Stewart then pondered what Trump was going to do to achieve an unprecedented third term. The answer, of course, came in the form of a news clip. The clip quoted Trump saying, “There are methods which you could do it.” Among his options include “urging J.D. Vance to run and then cede power back” to him. Trump was also quoted saying that the Vance path was only “one method but that there are others, too.”

“Yes, there are other methods. I think you tried one a few years ago,” Stewart said, in reference to the now infamous Jan. 6 insurrection. “There are other methods for staying in power beyond when you’re legally allowed to be there.”

Stewart continued, “Although, maybe Trump has something more creative in mind. Have you heard of the movie ‘Face/Off?’ So, here is how it is going to work. Trump will watch that movie as the military seizes power. What the fuck? At which point, Chuck Schumer will jump in and say, ‘I will allow it.’”
