The absence of bins on Puzhal Murugesan Street at Perambur has forced residents and shop-owners to dump garbage near the electricity transformer-cum-junction box. The garbage strewn all around the electricity junction box is a nuisance. Food waste, dumped on the road margins, attracts dogs and cattle. And the road has been dug up for laying power cables. As the work is getting delayed, the poor condition of the road causes inconvenience to motorists and pedestrians. The Chennai Corporation is requested to install a bin on the street.

Official responds
A senior official of the Thiru Vi Ka Zone of the Corporation says that once the cable-laying work is completed, the street will be re-laid. And the conservancy workers have been advised to remove the garbage regularly and install a bin.
Glitch in servers
The Passport Seva Kendra at Tambaram attracts many customers from the southern parts of the city. But they are forced to wait in the hot sun outside and there is little space for parking. Above all, customers are made to wait for long by glitches in the computer servers. Some customers have visited the Kendra twice or thrice for renewing their passports in the past few months.
