It was like looking in the mirror during the Saturday Night Live cold open as Kamala Harris gave herself a little pep talk ahead of Election Day on Tuesday.

The real-life vice president made a surprise visit to NBC’s sketch comedy series on Saturday, where she got to take a moment to talk with Maya Rudolph, who has been playing Harris since season 50 kicked off in September.

“Gosh, I just wish I could talk to someone who’s been in my shoes,” Rudolph says. “You know, a Black South Asian woman running for president, preferably from the Bay Area.”

That’s when she turns to look in the mirror and Harris is sitting on the other side, looking back at her.

John Mulaney returned to Studio 8H to host the sketch comedy show for the sixth time on Saturday, alongside musical guest Chappell Roan.

More to come.
