The new Netflix drama series “Zero Day” starring Robert De Niro has set its official premiere date.

The conspiracy thriller series will debut on the streamer on Feb. 20. Variety exclusively reported the series was in the works back in 2022.

The six-episode series also stars Angela Bassett, Lizzy Caplan, Jesse Plemons, Joan Allen, Connie Britton, Dan Stevens, and Matthew Modine. Bill Camp, Dan Stevens, Gaby Hoffmann, Clark Gregg, and McKinley Belcher III will appear in guest star roles.

The official logline states that De Niro stars as “respected former U.S. President George Mullen, who, as head of the Zero Day Commission, is charged with finding the perpetrators of a devastating cyber attack that has caused chaos around the country and thousands of fatalities. As disinformation runs rampant and the personal ambition of power brokers in technology, Wall Street, and government collide, Mullen’s unwavering search for the truth forces him to confront his own dark secrets while risking all he holds dear.”

“Zero Day” is co-created by Eric Newman, Noah Oppenheim, and Michael S. Schmidt. All three also serve as executive producers. Newman and Oppenheim are also writers and co-showrunners. De Niro executive produces in addition to starring. Lesli Linka Glatter directs and executive produces with Jonathan Glickman also executive producing.

“Zero Day” mark the first regular television role of De Niro’s career, though he has received multiple Emmy nominations in his career, including one for best actor in a TV movie or limited series for the HBO film “Wizard of Lies,” in which he played Bernie Madoff.
